Hanson Family Foundation
Hanson Family Foundation for the Well-Being of God's Creatures
Founded in 2023, the Hanson Family Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on keeping pets and their families together. Brad, Jackie, Sam and Betsy share a passion for all animals. Following a 2024 needs-assessment, they are committed to reducing pet overpopulation, providing affordable veterinary care, low-cost spay/neuter services, and removing geographical and financial barriers that force families to surrender their pets to animal shelters and rescues. Working collaboratively with existing animal welfare organizations in the region, the Hanson Family Foundation launched three new initiatives in 2025.
Meet Our Team
founder & development
"We believe every animal deserves to live a happy and healthy life with their family. The Foundation was established to keep pets and people together while reducing the intake burden on animal shelters and rescues."
equine rescue & sanctuary
"My faith and longtime passion for helping animals, especially horses, has led me to overseeing operations at the Foundation's private equine rescue and sanctuary where we can rehabilitate, train, foster and offer sanctuary to rescued horses.
veterinarian
"I am proud to be a part of the Foundation team offering safe & affordable veterinary services, with a focus on preventative care. I'm looking forward to connecting with area veterinarians to determine how our clinic can help them too."
programs & outreach
"I volunteered with the Foundation in 2024 doing a community needs-assessment in the region, and I'm excited to focus on ARC programs & outreach in our community targeting people who need the help most, while finishing my shelter medicine masters degree."
marketing & strategic leadership
"Utilizing my 20+ years experience in animal welfare, I joined the Foundation team in 2025 because their initiatives utilize a people-centered approach to helping animals. It's about keeping pets with their families because they are better together for lifelong companionship."
